Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa talks about his new project Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage and more
Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa of Sphere Origins is on cloud nine these days. Reason? His show Balika Vadhu on Colors is continuing to put the TRP chart on fire and he is all set to launch another new project on Sony Entertainment Television, namely Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage. It will go on air from 6 August 2012.
We caught up with Sunjoy and entered into a candid chat with him. This is what he had to say about the success of Balika Vadhu? “The credit of this show completely goes to the writers as they have been churning out interesting episodes.” When asked if he fears to be beaten by any another serial, he said, “That’s life. Somebody will take Balika’s place someday but we will keep working hard to maintain our place in the hearts of our audiences.”
Moving on…what should TV viewers expect from Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage? “This show is about different ideologies that the leads share. Hence, one can look forward to a debate between the two on love marriage and arranged marriage. We are not enforcing any kind of idea on the audience through this show. We are just keeping two different points of views and people will be able to relate to them.”
So is Love Marriage… as challenging a project as Balika Vadhu? “Balika is a different concept. It has a socially relevant issue and Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage is based on ones thought process. So they are two different shows and there is no comparison. The nature of the Sony show is such that we did not face any challenge. We had to just work hard on giving the best output to the audience.”
We wish him all the luck with his new venture.
