It has beenhas exclusively and recurrently reported about Hats Off Productions’ upcoming show on Sony TV, tentatively titled Byah Hamari Bahu Ka. Now we are back with some more exclusive dope on it.

The production house has roped in actor Pawan Chopra. He will star oppositePrateeksha Lonkar. They will have two daughters and one son.

We have also learned that the hunt for the leads is currently on and names likeKaran Wahi, Angad Hasija, Varun Kapoor are under consideration.

When contacted Pawan Chopra he said while confirming, “Though I haven’t shot for the show, I have been finalized to essay the role of the lead guy’s father.”

Dolly Minhas has been associated with Hats off Productions for years now. She has featured in their shows like Behenein, Chintu Chinky Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story and Baa Bahu Aur Baby. Now, when the production house is making three new shows across different channels, Dolly Minhas getting a call to feature in one of them was quite on the cards.

Yes, she has been signed to play an important role in Hats Off’s upcoming tentatively titled show on Sony Entertainment Television, Byah Hamari Bahu Ka.

She will be seen as Avantika, female lead’s (played by Benaf Dadachandji) mother. She will be a typical mother who will care a lot for her daughter.

“I am essaying mother to the female lead and I have just started shooting for the show. Yesterday (25 April 2012) we had a muhurat of the show,” confirmed Dolly.

Hats Off's new show on Sony...Prateeksha Lonkar roped in

Hats Off Productions is on a roll. We have already written about the production house’s two new shows, namely, Star Plus’ Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum, and Life OK’s tentatively titled Alakshmi. And J D Majethia (producer of Hats off) is super kicked about his third upcoming show on the tube. This time… J D will spill magic on Sony Entertainment Television.

Wow…three shows on three different channels. It is certainly impressive. And guess what? The makers who are known for comedies and saas- bahu sagas is widening its creative base and doling out a love story.

This new venture on Sony Entertainment Television is titled Byah Hamari Bahu Ka. It will have a Gujarati backdrop and under the veneer of a love story, will have an undercurrent of social awareness.

The casting for the show is in full swing and we have learned that Marathi actress, Prateeksha Lonkar, has been signed to play an important role.

We tried to get in touch with JD, but he remained unavailable. We also had a word with Prateeksha and she said, “I would not like to comment anything till I get a confirmation from the production house. Let things get finalized first, then I will share relevant details.”

The cast would shoot the promo episodes for Byah Hamari Bahu Ka by 2 or 3 May 2012
