Pallavi Gupta and Krutika Desai in Crime Patrol
It’s not even been a week since Aamir Khan Productions’ Satyamev Jayate (Star Plus) dealt with the menace of dowry system in our country. The episode received an amazing response wherein people just could not stop talking about it. And now, Sony Entertainment Television’s Crime Patrol will also depict this harrowing menace in its upcoming episode. This particular sequence will deal with a case wherein a housewife was burnt alive by her in laws when their dowry demands were not met. This horrific incident happened in Faridabad.
And to do justice to the storyline, the makers (Optimystix Productions) have roped in popular names from the television industry namely Pallavi Gupta, last seen in Sahara One’s Bitto, and seasoned actress Krutika Desai (Ram Milaayi Jodi).
Pallavi will essay the role of the victim (daughter-in-law) whereas Krutika will be seen as the evil mother-in-law.
When contacted Pallavi Gupta, she confirmed “While I was watching the dowry episode of Satyamev Jayate, I got a call from the production house for this particular episode and I immediately gave a nod. I am sharing screen space with Krutika Desai who will be my mother-in-law.”
All efforts to reach Krutika proved to be vain.
This particular episode will air this Saturday (26 May 2012) at 11 pm.
